Nebulizer Assembly Maintenance

7 Check the nebulizer seal washer for damage and replace it if needed.
a If the seal washer is damaged, remove it from the assembly using a 100 µL pipette tip.
b Replace the seal washer so that it sits in the circular notch of the block.
NOTE If the seal washer is not damaged, removal is not required.
8 Clean the seal washer by wiping the accessible surface with a Kimwipe moistened with
isopropanol.
9 Replace the threaded cap on the spring block assembly and tighten it using the torch
removal tool. Place the assembly in the nebulizer mount.
NOTE The threaded-cap end of the spring block assembly should be inserted first into
the nebulizer mount.
IMPORTANT If the seal washer/threaded cap can be seen after the spring block
assembly has been placed in the nebulizer mount, it has been inserted incorrectly.
Remove and flip it over, then reinstall.
