7 ANALOG OUTPUT
7.3 TUNE MIN (4MA)
Use this setting to precisely tune the minimum analog output value
(initial value is 4 mA). This value can differ slightly due to ambient
influences such as temperature.
Before tuning the signal, make sure the analog signal is not being
used for any application.
After pressing PROG, the current will be about 4 mA. The current can be
increased / decreased with the arrow-keys and is directly active. Press
PROG to store the new value.
7.4 TUNE MAX (20MA)
Use this setting to precisely tune the maximum analog output value
(initial value is 20 mA). This value can differ slightly due to ambient
influences such as temperature.
Before tuning the signal, make sure the analog signal is not being
used for any application.
After pressing PROG, the current will be about 20 mA. The current can
be increased / decreased with the arrow-keys and is directly active.
Press PROG to store the new value.
5.5.8 MENU 8: RELAY OUTPUTS
The “Pulse” menu configures the behavior of the digital output signals. As standard, four transistor
outputs are available (Type OT): D1, D2, D3 and D4. The output functionality can be configured for
each of these outputs.
Optionally, two relay outputs are available (Type OR): D5 and D6. The output functionality of these
outputs corresponds to the functionality of outputs D3 and D4 (respectively).
The following modes of operation are available for each output:
Off: the output is switched off.
Lo-Lo: the output shows the presence of a Lo-Lo flowrate alarm.
Lo: the output shows the presence of a Lo flowrate alarm.
Hi: the output shows the presence of a Hi flowrate alarm.
Hi-Hi: the output shows the presence of a Hi-Hi flowrate alarm.
All: the output shows the presence of any flowrate alarm.
Pulse: a scaled pulse is sent on the output with width 8.5: RELAY OUTPUTS > WIDTH each time the
accumulated total increases with amount 8.6: RELAY OUTPUTS > AMOUNT.
Retransmit: the unscaled incoming pulse from the flowmeter is retransmitted on the output.
The digital (transistor) outputs D1 and D2 have a maximum frequency of 500Hz; digital outputs D3
and D4 have a maximum frequency of 4Hz.
Make sure the output frequencies of the optional digital (relay) outputs D5 and D6 do not exceed
0.5Hz, otherwise the relay lifetime and reliability will be reduced significantly.
8 RELAY OUTPUTS
8.1 RELAY 1
Selects the output functionality of digital output D1. The following
functions are available:
off, lo-lo, lo, hi, hi-hi, all, pulse, retransmit
The Retransmit mode is often used when sinus / non-square wave
input signals are present (for example, coil signals) that need to be
transmitted as robust square wave forms.
8.2 RELAY 2
Selects the output functionality of digital output D2. The following
functions are available:
off, lo-lo, lo, hi, hi-hi, all, pulse
8.3 RELAY 3
Selects the output functionality of digital outputs D3 and D5 (option). The
following functions are available:
off, lo-lo, lo, hi, hi-hi, all, pulse
8.4 RELAY 4
Selects the output functionality of digital outputs D4 and D6 (option). The
following functions are available:
off, lo-lo, lo, hi, hi-hi, all, pulse
