Tips for Maximizing the Battery Life
To extend the life of the battery, you can try these tips.
• Change the power mode during an activity (Customizing the Power Mode for an Activity, page118).
• Turn on the battery saver feature from the controls menu (Controls, page51).
• Reduce the screen timeout (Display and Brightness Settings, page82).
• Stop using the Always On Display screen timeout option, and select a shorter timeout (Display and Brightness
Settings, page82).
• Reduce the screen brightness (Display and Brightness Settings, page82).
• Use UltraTrac satellite mode for your activity (Satellite Settings, page49).
• Turn off Bluetooth technology when you are not using connected features (Controls, page51).
• When pausing your activity for a longer period of time, use the Resume Later option (Stopping an Activity,
page18).
• Use a watch face that is not updated every second.
For example, use a watch face without a second hand (Customizing the Watch Face, page4).
• Limit the phone notifications the watch displays (Managing Notifications, page88).
• Stop broadcasting heart rate data to paired devices (Broadcasting Heart Rate Data, page98).
• Turn off wrist-based heart rate monitoring (Wrist Heart Rate Monitor Settings, page97).
NOTE: Wrist-based heart rate monitoring is used to calculate vigorous intensity minutes and calories burned.
• Turn on manual pulse oximeter readings (Setting the Pulse Oximeter Mode, page99).
Restarting Your Watch
If your watch stops responding, you can try these steps to restart it.

Hold until the watch turns off, and hold to turn on the watch.
• Plug the watch into a USB-C charging port for at least 30 seconds, unplug the cable, and plug the cable in
again.
