Stress Tests: Ergometers with Remote Start Pulse
Treadmill
1. Select the ergometer type (Chapter 10, “Communication” section).
2. Select the test protocol (configuration, Chapter 10, “Stress Test
Mode” section).
3. Press . At this stage, the resting ECG of the sitting patient is
recorded. Continue collecting the ECG signal until the first ST
measurement is completed or the results of the first BP
measurement are available.
4. Press . At this point, the ECG of the patient standing upright is
recorded.
5. Press .
Hyperventilating Patient
The next stage is reserved for a hyperventilating patient’s ECG.
6. Start the treadmill with and press . The warm-up stage
follows, in which the patient gets used to the treadmill exercise.
7. Press . Once the patient is familiar with walking on the
treadmill, initiate the actual test with .
From this point forward, the program controls the entire test
including the recovery phase.
General Treadmill Considerations
Stop the test at any time with . Refer to “End/Cancel a
Stress Test” on page 8-7 for more information.

The treadmill can be stopped at any time with the emergency
stop button.
When using the treadmill model TM400E, it is important to adjust
the same unit of speed measurement at the ergometer and at the
CardioSys system (km/h or mph).
Start
