Effects
When you select the EFFECT editor, the display
will show a sub-menu with two sub-editors: EF-
FECT and VOCAL PROCESSOR. Here we ex-
plain the EFFECT editor. Although the VOCAL
PROCESSOR feature contains some Preset pa-
rameters, the nature of this function requires a
separate explanation which you’ll find in the Vo-
cal Processor chapter, page 7.1, of the Refer-
ence Guide.
The EFFECT menu contains general parameters
that affect the instrument as a whole (amount of
general reverb), parameters that affect all the
tracks of the Preset in edit (effects assigned to
the DSPs), and track parameters (amount of ef-
fects sends).
PS/GPS contains a digital multi-effect processor
consisting of 2 Groups of Reverb (Eff. 1A and
Eff. 1B) and two Groups of Modulations (Eff. 2A
and Eff. 2B). In Style/Preset mode, the Style
accompaniment tracks are processed by the
Group B effects and the keyboard tracks by the
Group A effects. It is not possible to switch groups
in Style/Preset mode. In Song mode, you can
switch from Group A to B and vice versa.
THE EFFECT MENU
EFFECTS TYPE (F1)
Here you can set up the actual effects that you
would like your Preset to use from each DSP. If
you are working on the keyboard tracks only,
you’d select the effects from Group A. If you are
programming the accompaniment tracks of a
Style Preset, you’d select your effects from Group
B. This means that your Preset can be processed
by two sets of DSP’s. A Style Preset, therefore,
can play with a completely independent set of
effects with respect the to the keyboard tracks.
GROUP A
EFF. 1: The Reverb selector of Group A.
VOL. General Reverb level of Group A. Assign-
able values: 0 ... 127.
EFF. 2: The Modulation, (delay/chorus/flanger,
etc) selector of Group A.
VOL. General Modulation level of Group A. As-
signable values: 0 ... 127.
EFFECT 2 TO EFFECT 1: Sets the quantity of
feedback of Eff2 into Eff1. Assignable values: 0
(no feedback) ... 127 (maximum feedback of the
signal).
GROUP B
EFF. 1: The Reverb selector of Group B.
VOL. General Reverb level of Group B. Assign-
able values: 0 ... 127.
EFF. 2: The Modulation, (delay/chorus/flanger,
etc) selector of Group B.
VOL. General Modulation level of Group B. As-
signable values: 0 ... 127.

feedback of Eff2 into Eff1. Assignable values: 0
(no feedback) ... 127 (maximum feedback of the
signal).
