The Cutting/Plotting Results are Unsatisfactory

Symptom Cause Solution
•
The cutting results differ from the
speciedsize.
•
When the plotter is receiving data,
the PROMPT lamp lights. (an
offscale error occurs)
•
Some parts of the medium cannot
be cut.
The programmable resolution (STEP SIZE)
has been set differently at the plotter and the
software application.
Set both the plotter and software to the same
programmable resolution.
Scalinghasbeenspeciedatthecomputer. Checkwhetherscalinghasbeenspecied.
The computer sent coordinate data that
exceedsthespeciedeffectivecuttingarea.
Set the effective cutting area to a larger
area.
Reducethesizeofthedata.
•
The currently selected cutting
conditions cannot be stored or
changed.
The Condition Priority setting is set to
Program.
Change the Condition Priority setting
(Special Functions menu) to Manual.
The [ENTER] key was not pressed after a
setting was changed.
Make sure you are setting the conditions
correctly.
•
Text or lines are deformed during
pen plotting.
The plotter is in Cutting or Creasing mode. Select "PEN" for the cutter blade type in the
setting conditions.
•
Thespeciedlengthisnotplotted
or cut. (slight distance error)
The distance correction value is not
appropriate.
Specify the appropriate distance correction
value.
•
Text is deformed.
•
Complex images are deformed.
The Step Pass value is too high. Lower the Step Pass setting.

The starting and end points do not
match.
The data is not connected. Plot the data with a pen and then make the
corrections required.
The Offset Cut Pressure is too low. Raise the Offset Cut Pressure setting.
Themediumistooimsy. Switch to a stronger medium.
Cutter blade rotation is not smooth. Remove any foreign matter adhering to the
inside of the holder.

An unintentional L-shape is cut. "2 mm BELOW" has been selected for the
Init. Blade Control position.
Select "OUTSIDE" for the Init. Blade Control
position. (Special Functions menu)
