Chapter 5 FUNCTION SETTINGS AND OPERATIONS
5.20 Setting the Offset Angle
Your plotter rotates the blade tip according to the initial angle of rotation required by each line segment
dened in the data sent from the computer. This operation is called "initial blade control". The OFFSET
ANGLE function species the reference blade offset angle for determining whether or not to perform initial
blade control. Setting a higher OFFSET ANGLE setting reduces the overall cutting time but the drawback is
less precise blade control.
(1) Press the [PAUSE] key to select PAUSE mode.
(2) Press the [NEXT] key
repeatedly until the following menu is displayed.

(3) Press the [F2] key (OPTION1) to display the menu shown below.

(4) Press the [F3] key (OFST ANG) to display the offset angle setting screen.

OFFSET ANGLE
ANGLE =30
Use the [ ] or [ ] key to change the numeric value, and then press the [ENTER] key to conrm your selection.
Setting range: 0 to 60 (degrees) [Default value: 30]

If the OFFSET ANGLE is set too high, the cut shape may become deformed. Conversely, if it is set too low, curved
lines may become jagged.
(5) Press the [PAUSE] key
to cancel PAUSE mode.
This setting is retained in the plotter's internal memory even while the plotter is turned off.
