3.6 Turning on the Plotter and Initialization
The moment you turn on the power, the plotter's Y bar and pen carriage will start to move. Do not put your hands or
other objects on the writing panel. Such actions are dangerous.
(1) Make sure the power is turned off.
(2) Securely plug the connector end of the power cord into the plotter's power inlet.
(3) Securelyplugtheotherendofthepowercordintoanelectricaloutletofthespeciedvoltage.
(4) Turn on the power.
(5) The green power lamp on the control panel will light, and the Y bar and pen carriage will start to move as shown in
thegurebelow.Theseoperationsarepartoftheinitializationprocess.
Thegurebelowshowswhattheplotterdoeswhenthepoweristurnedon.Thepencarriagereturnstothe

position,andthenmovesbackandforthtwiceata45°anglefromtheoriginpointtodeterminethefrictioncoefcient
of the plotter mechanisms.
