6. To see a magnied view of the waveform, press and hold the MODE button, then press the
LEG/TOE button. Press again to return the full waveform view. Or, use the WAVEFORM
option in the menu. See 5-3-13 “WAVEFORM for details.
7. To manually adjust the systolic pressure point, press
and hold the MODE button, then press the right (INF/
DUMP) or left (ARM) button to move the line. Or,
use the CURSOR option in the menu. See 5-3-23
“CURSOR” for details.
8. Press the ARM button to store the brachial pressure.
The pressure will be displayed on the LCD. Press the
INF/DUMP button to return to the monitoring screen
and repeat the process on the other arm.
ABI pressures require the highest arm pressure to
perform calculations. If the pressure of the second
arm is higher, press the ARM button to overwrite the
rst arm pressure and save the new pressure. If the
pressure of the second arm is lower, do not press the
ARM button and the rst pressure will be used for the
calculations.

8 “MEMORY-STORE” for details.
10. Once arm pressures are completed, press the INF/
DUMP button to return to the monitoring screen to
take the ankle pressure.
Take the systolic pressures at the ankle
Before taking the systolic pressures at the ankle, take a print out of the Doppler waveform at the
Dorsalis Pedis and/or Posterior tibial arteries by following the instructions for taking a waveform
printout as described in 4-5 “MEASURING BLOOD VELOCITY” for details.
1. After documenting the waveforms, press the MODE
button until the Arm/Leg pressure mode is selected.
2. Place a blood pressure cu󰀨 snugly above the ankle.
Connect one end of the tubing to the cu󰀨 and the
other end to the ination inlet on the front of the unit.
