Configuration pauses during steering mid position
setup. The system attempts to correctly centre the jet
nozzle.
The nozzle centre position can be fine tuned by
clicking the Increase or Decrease buttons.
When the jet nozzle is correctly centred, click OK to
continue.
Configuration pauses during reverse duct zero speed
position setup. The system attempts to correctly set
the reverse duct to the zero speed position.
The reverse duct zero speed position can be fine
tuned by clicking the Increase or Decrease buttons.
When the reverse duct zero speed position is
correct, click OK to continue.
After the powered calibration is finished, click Next
Any settings not correctly configured, are displayed on
screen.
Click Back to reconfigure these settings, or Next if
you wish to continue.
Once the calibration process has finished, a
summary of settings is displayed.
Click Back to go back and reconfigure any setting.
Click Next to finish setup.
Jet unit checks
Check the following once jet unit setup has finished:
Position of the steering nozzle:
Should be pointing dead ahead when the active steering controller is centred.
Position of the reverse duct.
Should be in the zero speed position when the active thrust controller is centred.
Jet responds correctly to helm demand.
Steering position indicator on the station control panel indicates correctly.
Reverse duct responds correctly to demands from the thrust controller.
Reverse duct position indicator on the station control panel indicates correct position.
Visually check that the reverse duct correctly moves to the full ahead, full astern, and zero speed
positions in response to the thrust controller.
