Closing JETanchor autotune
When all autotune tests have been successfully completed, close the autotune window. Results for each test
are automatically saved at the conclusion of each test.
Verifying JETanchor performance
When the auto tune procedure is complete you must verify the quality of JETanchor's performance.
To verify JETanchor's performance:
1 Ensure the vessel is in a clear zone away from other water users and hazards such as fixed objects.
2 Engage station keeping mode and check that the vessel holds station.
3 Use the Mouseboat to move the vessel to a variety of positions and headings. Check that the vessel locks
on to each new position and holds station each time the Mouseboat is released.
4 Engage virtual anchor mode and check that the vessel holds position around the anchor point.
5 Use the Mouseboat to move the vessel to a variety of new positions and headings, including headings
that are across the wind or current. Check that the vessel locks on to each new anchor point and swings
around the anchor point to align head-on into the prevailing conditions, each time the Mouseboat is
released.
6 For each of these tests, check for signs of slow response and for oscillations in each of the surge, sway
and yaw axes. If slow response or oscillations are noticeable, the auto tune procedure should be
repeated.
Relocating or re-orientating the JETanchor control module (JACM) or GPS antenna after the
commissioning process can cause vessel control stability issues when JETanchor is engaged. If the
JETanchor control module or GPS antenna is moved or re-orientated after commissioning, the
JETanchor commissioning procedure must be repeated.
