At sea
Do not remove inspection hatches when the vessel is in the water.
Make sure the engine throttle is set to full when the Throttle Control Lever is at full ahead.
Check throttle response. Ensure that the throttle curve is appropriate.
Make sure RPM feedback, is within expected limits.
Make sure the Jet Nozzles turn fully to port and starboard when the Helm Wheel is fully turned in either
direction.
Check the helm response, and ensure that the helm curve is appropriate.
Make sure the vessel responds correctly to the Mouseboat.
Check hydraulic oil temperature after 10-15 minutes of normal operation.
Refer to the Jet Manual for operating temperature.
Check the Main Jet Bearing temperature after 10-15 minutes of normal operation.
Refer to the Jet Manual for operating temperature.
Check Jet oil levels every few minutes during initial operation.
