Parking brake switch (1) has three operating positions provid

ed.
• Parking brake ON (2)
• Neutral: Level position (3)
• Parking brake OFF position (4): The switch is automatically
returned to the original position
1. Press the OFF side (3) of parking brake switch (1) to re
-
lease the parking brake. Check that parking brake indica-
tor (7) goes OFF by pressing the switch twice with clicks.
Press the ON side (2) of parking brake switch (1) to apply
the parking brake.
NOTE: While running the engine, when the parking brake is
applied with forward/reverse selector lever (4) in neu
-
tral, parking brake indicator (8) and service indicator (7)
come ON.
2. While running the engine, when the parking brake is ap
-
plied with forward/reverse selector lever (4) in either the
forward (F) or reverse (R) position, parking brake indica-
tor (8) and service indicator (7) come ON, and the alarm
buzzer sounds. The monitor display indicates (5) “N” not
“R.” The monitor display will not indicate “F” and “R” until
the parking brake is released.
3. The parking brake is automatically applied when the
engine is stoped even though parking brake switch (1)
is OFF (3) to ensure safeoperation. In this case even after
the engine is restated, the parking brake will not be re
-
leased. After starting the engine, push ON position (2) of
parking brake switch (1) once. Then, push OFF position (3)
parking brake switch (1) to release the parking brake.
