General Description
Mode Description
IntelliFlow Control Standard speed control for an IntelliFlow conveyor
decline section.
Master/Slave For load sharing in incline/decline sections.
2.2.3 Photo-Eyes
The MDR conveyor is equipped with retro-reflective or diffused photo-eyes to sense
the presence of product in the zones. Retro-reflective photo-eyes are mounted so
the photo-eye light source is directed across the top of the rollers to a reflector
mounted on the opposite side of the conveyor. When product on the conveyor
blocks the photo-eye light source, a signal is sent to the control card indicating that
product is present in the zone. Based on the control card’s settings, the control card
will start or stop the drive roller. The diffused photo-eyes are used when the photo-
eyes cannot be mounted above the rollers. The diffused photo-eyes are mounted
below the rollers and shine their light up between the roller. When product is
present, the light is reflected off the product and back to so the light sensor in the
photo-eye. When the rollers are on 2-inch centers and there is no place to mount a
reflector, a diffused photo-eye can be mounted above the rollers.
