4.4 Strip Belt Gap Fillers
Gaps between strip belt sections and the motor driven roller and the idler roller must
be filled with gap fillers. There are two gap filler styles. The slotted style between
zone gap fillers consists of a T – Bar gap filler that is mounted into 2 slotted mounting
brackets, shown below left. The screw style between zone gap fillers consist of a T –
Bar gap filler that are screwed to mounting brackets, shown above right.
There are two types of mounting brackets, straight and offset. The straight mounting
brackets are used between zones within the same section of MDR conveyor.
