Service and Repair
The color and texture of this object should represent the darkest colored and
shiniest textured product that this sensor would be required to sense.
b. Locate the sensitivity adjustment pot. near the amber Indicator light on the top
edge of the sensor.
c. With the sensor powered and the sensing object in place, turn the sensitivity
adjustment pot. clockwise until the indicator light comes on. If the indicator light
is already on with the sensing object in front of the photo-eye, this step can be
skipped.
d. While keeping the sensing object in place, slowly turn the sensitivity adjustment
pot. counter clockwise until the indicator light goes out.
e. The adjustment is then complete and one can move to the next sensor.
4.8 Replacing a Power Supply
Only qualified electricians should be allowed to connect or perform maintenance
on the electrical system. Also, all conveyor frames must be properly grounded per
all applicable wiring code requirements. Failure to follow these instructions may
result in serious personal injury and/or equipment damage.
1. Turn off and lockout/tagout the incoming power to the power supply at the power
distribution panel.
2. Open the existing power supply and label the incoming and outgoing wires per the
terminal block label.
3. Disconnect the wires from the terminal blocks and remove the old power supply
4. Mount the new power supply and connect the wires to the terminal blocks as labeled
in step 2.
5. Set the new power supply DIP switches in the same positions as found on the old
power supply.
6. Turn off the new power supply output circuit breakers.
