3.3 Preventive Maintenance Checklist

Check with Conveyor Running
Listen for abnormal noises coming from
bearings, O-belts or other moving parts that
could indicated worn or misaligned parts.
Check with Conveyor Shut Down
Look for string or other foreign material
wrapped around bearings, shafts, or rollers.
Remove all foreign material immediately.
Look for shavings or belt dust under
conveyor, transfer, or divert mechanisms
that could indicate misaligned or damaged
conveyor, transfer, or divert components.
Inspect all O-belts for damage. Replace
worn or damaged O-belts.
Visually inspect all wiring and connections.
Check O-belt tension by rotating rollers. If
roller moves freely, replace the O-belt.

Check with Conveyor Running
Visually inspect all O-belts, timing belts, strip
belts, carrier rollers, and drive rollers for
wear, improper alignment, or buildup of
foreign materials, and repair/clean as
required. Intelligrated recommends methyl
ethyl ketone (MEK) for cleaning stubborn dirt
and grease off belting.
Watch the transfer and divert mechanisms
for at least 5 operations to verify that they
are operating correctly.
