4 Service and Repair
4.1 Introduction
Before performing any servicing or repair, follow the lockout/tagout procedure in
the Safety chapter to be sure that the equipment is safe to work on. Failure to
follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death.
You must read and understand these precautions completely before operating,
setting up, installing or performing maintenance on the equipment. Failure to
follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury and/or equipment
damage.
Occasionally, various components must be replaced or repaired due to damage or
wear. This section contains instructions for removing, replacing, and adjusting
various components of the MDR system. Be sure to follow all safety precautions and
lockout/tagout procedures when servicing and repairing this or any conveyor.
Only qualified maintenance specialists should maintain the mechanical, electrical,
and pneumatic portions of the conveyor.
