Boot
In addition to POST, boot includes the following tasks a f ter POST is complete:
• Performs universal p ort configuration.
• Initializes l
inks.
• Analyzes fabric. If any ports are connected to other switches, the switch participates in a fabric
configuration.
• Obtains a dom
ain ID and assigns port add resses.
• Constructs unicast routing tables.
• Enables normal port operation.
