Federal Communications Commission notice for Class A equipment
This equipment h as been tested an d found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to Par t 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses a nd can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance
with the instruction manual, may cause ha rmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this
equipment
in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be
required to correct the interference at his own expense. The end user of this product should be aware
that any changes or modifi cations made to this equipment without the approval of Hewlett-Packard
could resu
lt in the product not meeting the Class A limits, in which case the FCC could void the user’s
authority to o perate the equipment.

Cables
Connecti
ons to this device must be made with shielded cables with metallic RFI/EMI connector hoods
in order to maintain compliance with FCC Rules and Regulations.
Regulatory compliance identification numbers
For the purpose of regulatory compliance certifications and identification, your product has been
assigned a unique Regulatory Model Number. The RMN can be found on the product nameplate label,
along with all required approval markings and information. When requesting compliance information for
this product, always refer to this RMN. The Regulatory Model Number should not be confused with the
marketing name or model number of the product.
Laser device
All H P systems equipp ed with a laser device comply with safety standards, including International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 825. With specific regard to the laser, the equipment complies with
laser product performance standards set by government agencies as a Class 1 laser product. The
prod
uct does not emit hazardous light.
