1. Power down the server (Power down the server).
2. Remove all power:
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack ( Extend the server from the rack ).
Remove the server from the rack ( Remove the server from the rack .
4. Remove the access panel ( Remove the access panel ).
5. If installed, remove the tertiary PCIe riser cage ( Remove the riser cage).
6. Locate the battery (System board components).
7. Remove the battery.
8. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
9. Properly dispose of the old battery.
