Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-15 Torx screwdriver available.

ProcedureProcedure
1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack .
Remove the server from the rack .
4. Remove the access panel .
5. Remove all hot-plug hard drives .
Note where each drive was installed.
6. Do one of the following:.
Remove the fan cage.
Remove the midplane drive cage .
7. Disconnect all cables from the universal media bay.
8. Remove the universal media bay.
ResultsResults
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
