6.11 Why do I have to align my phone's infrared transmitter
with the infrared receiver on a TV or air conditioner for the
transmitter to function properly?
Compared with remote controls for TVs and air conditioners, your phone's infrared
transmitting tube is slimmer with smaller transmitting power. Therefore, your phone must be
aligned with the infrared receiver on a TV or air conditioner.
6.12 Why can't my phone successfully learn from a remote
control?
Your phone's infrared transmitter is small for the purpose of your phone's elegant appearance.
Align your phone's infrared transmitter with the infrared interface on the remote control at a
distance of 5 cm to make sure your phone can receive the waveform from the remote control.
6.13 Why can't my phone learn from some remote controls?
Some home appliances are controlled by remote controls over Bluetooth, but your phone is
equipped with the infrared remote control function.
To check whether a remote control functions using infrared: Open the camera and direct the
camera to the transmitting tube and press the button on the remote control. If you see the
infrared light on the viewfinder, the remote control functions using infrared. If you don't see
the infrared light on the viewfinder, the remote control does not support infrared.
6.14 What does the associate button in the upper left corner of
the STB remote control screen do?
This button is used to turn on or off a TV. Before using it, you need to create a remote control
for your TV (or a self-learning TV remote control). Touch to associate with that remote
control. Then you can use this button to turn on or off your TV.
