2 Smart cover
2.1 What is smart cover mode?
The honor 7's smart cover mode works with the Huawei light lattice case. After you enable
smart cover mode, Clock and Weather will be displayed on the cover.
In smart cover mode:
On the incoming call screen, the caller ID or contact information is displayed. You can swipe
left or right to answer or reject the call.
On the alarm screen, you can touch the alarm animation to delay the alarm or swipe on the
specified area to close the alarm.
Unread messages and answered called are reminded graphically with an indicator on and off
at the bottom.
2.2 Why does my phone enter smart cover mode
sometimes I turn on the screen?
Your phone automatically enters smart cover mode whenever it touches magnet.
2.3 What can I do if my phone mistakenly identifies the
protective cover and turns off the screen?
Use the protective cover provided by Huawei only. The Hall sensor installed on your phone is
capable of identifying the opening and closing of the protective cover. However, this function
can only work properly for the protective cover provided by Huawei. Otherwise, exceptions
may occur.
2.4 Why can't I use the gesture to answer a call when my
phone is attached with a protective cover?
To increase accuracy, the gesture functions with the proximity sensor. When your phone is
attached with a protective cover, the proximity sensor is blocked. In this case, your phone is
likely to mistakenly answer calls because only the gesture is used for call identification.
