2. Allow the robotic lawnmower to mow in manual
operating mode until the battery is completely
at. The mower should have a low level of
cutting resistance during the battery test.
The cutting height should therefore be set
to maximum.
3. When the battery has run down the mower
stops. The result of the battery test is then
saved automatically and can be read in
Autocheck EXP or Tools - History, total -
Battery capacity in the mower’s display.
In cases where a battery test cannot be performed on
an installation, the test can be performed directly on the
work bench via Autocheck EXP. The test is performed
as above, except the mower’s drive wheel and blade
disc rotate freely during the test. Since resistance to the
drive wheel and blade disc is in principle non-existent,
discharging the battery may take several hours Note
that the most reliable test results can be achieved when
the mower is run in an installation.
6.6.2 Evaluating the battery test
The four most recent battery tests are saved in the
mower. Read the test result from Autocheck EXP or
Tools - History, total - Battery capacity in the mower.
A new battery has a total capacity of about 2,100 mAh
but is charged to a maximum of 1,700 mAh. The test
results from a battery test on a new battery are thus
normally around 1,600 to 1,700 mAh.
As the battery ages the battery capacity decreases.
If the battery capacity displayed is approximately
1,000 mAh or lower, it is possible that the battery is poor
and needs to be replaced. Note that the values are
approximate and vary between different mowers and
assume that the measuring is done as described. Note!
If the mower has not been in operation for more than
two months when the test is performed, for example
if the mower has been put in for a winter service, at
least two and preferably three battery tests should be
carried out. The assessment should be based on the
most recently conducted test as the rst test can show
an incorrect value. It is consequently more practical to
perform a battery test in connection with the mower’s
normal operation or in connection with it having recently
been in operation.
When replacing the battery the charging cycle counter
should be reset. This is done in Tools - Reset charging
cycle counter in Autocheck EXP. This resets the
value for Chargings OK, which is a measure of how
old the battery is, both in the main counter and the trip
counter. A battery can normally take approximately 3
000-4 000 charges.
