Attaching the cutting deck
WARNING: The drive belt tension spring
can break and cause injury. Wear protec-
tive glasses when you attach or remove
the cutting deck.
1. Place the product on level ground.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Set the cutting height lever in the servicing
position.
4. Set the lift lever for the cutting deck in mowing
position.
5. Lower the auger service position lever to lift the
auger to service position.
6. Release the clip on the front cover with the tool
attached to the ignition key and lift o the cover.
7. Lay the drive belt as illustrated so that it does not
get pinched when the cutting deck is attached.
8. Push the equipment frame down. Lift the service
lock to vertical position.
WARNING: Fingers can get seriously
injured in the lock mechanism. To
prevent injury, put the service lock in full
vertical position and hold the front edge
of the cutting deck with both hands when you
continue to the next step.
9. Lift the front edge of the cutting deck, roll it
towards the equipment fram. The plugs on the
cutting deck, one on each side, must be put in the
grooves on the equipment fram. The service lock
releases automatically.
10. Lift the cutting height stay from the stay holder
and put it in the cutting stay hole (1).
