IBM 5150 - SECTION 3. OPERATIONS

Check the speaker circuit if you have no beep.
1. Set your multimeter to the OHMS (x 1) scale.
2. Remove the speaker connector from the System Board.
3. Connect leads to the speaker as shown.

IS THERE CONTINUITY AT THE SPEAKER CONNECTOR?
NO Replace the speaker. See Section 3, "Removal/
Replacement. "
YES Replace your System Board. See Section 3,
"Removal/Replacement. "
