BOOT DIAGNOSTICS
Non-error status
message.

CLEARING PROGRAM
FROM FLASH
Status message:
emulation software
successfully loaded
into printer RAM and
the checksum
matched. The old
program is now being
deleted from flash
memory.
No action required.
DRIVER CIRCUIT BAD
The hammer coil
count test failed.
1. Cycle power. If the message appears,
press Stop.
2. Power off the printer. Remove the shuttle
cover. At the shuttle frame assembly,
disconnect the hammer bank logic and
power cables. Power on the printer. If
“HB NOT INSTALLD” appears on the
LCD, replace the shuttle frame assembly.
If “HB NOT INSTALLD” does not appear
on the LCD, replace the CMX controller
board.
ENERGY SAVER
MODE ACTIVE
Status message: the
printer is in low-
energy idle state, all
fans and higher
voltages are off, only
+5Vdc logic circuits
are active.
No action required.
ERROR: DRAM AT
ADDRESS <hex>
The printer found a
defective memory
location.
1.
Replace the DRAM.
2.
Power on the printer. If the message
appears, replace the CMX controller
board. Record the message and return it
with the defective board.
ERROR: DRAM NOT
DETECTED
DRAM is defective or
missing.
1. Check DRAM on the CMX controller
board. If present, reseat DRAM; if
missing, install DRAM.
2. Power on the printer. If the message
appears, replace the DRAM.
3. Power on the printer. If the message
appears, replace the CMX controller
board. Record the message and return it
with the defective board.
