3. Type “yes” in the textbox and click OK to clear the array configuration.
14.14.4 Recovery - Place controller
You can use the Advanced Recovery Place controller submenu functions to set the
selected controller state to online, offline or service mode. In this section we describe how to
use these options.
Place controller Online
Placing a controller online sets it to Optimal status and places it in an active mode, available
for I/O operations. Under normal operating conditions, both controllers will be online and in
the optimal state. This function is only used if one of the two controllers is in either the offline
state, or in service mode.
Do the following to use this option:
1. Select the controller in the Physical tab of the DS Storage Manager (Subsystem
Management) window and then select the Advanced Recovery Place controller
Online menu command, as shown in Figure 14-132 on page 429.
Note: These three functions should normally only be used under the guidance of your IBM
technical support representative.
