2. Add the following line at the beginning:
allowInterleavedNUMAnodes=TRUE
Ensure that you leave a space at the beginning and the end of the text that you enter (as
shown in Figure 6-72); otherwise, the command will fail to execute at a later stage during
the boot process. Press Enter to proceed after the line has been edited correctly.

3. Do not forget to select VMkernel.Boot.allowInterleavedNUMAnodes as active with the
vSpere Client.
ESXi installation
Use the following steps to change your ESXi 4.1 installation:
1. Use the vSphere Client to connect to the system.
2. Select the Configuration tab of the host and click Advanced Settings under the
Software panel.
