RECEIVE MODES
■ Operating FSK
A DSP-based high-quality Baudot FSK decoder is built-
in to the IC-R9500.
If you would rather use your FSK terminal or TNC, con-
sult the manual that comes with the FSK terminal or
TNC.
q Edit the desired frequency using the keypad.
w Push [FSK] to select FSK.
•After FSK mode is selected, push and hold [FSK] for
1 sec. to toggle between FSK and FSK-R modes.
• “FSK” or “FSK-R” appears.
e Push [F-3•DECODE] to display the decoder screen.
• The IC-R9500 has a built-in Baudot decoder.
r To tune the desired signal, aim for a symmetrical
wave form and ensure the signal peaks align with
the mark (2125 Hz) and shift (170 Hz) frequency
lines in the FFT scope.
• [RX] indicator lights green and the S-meter indicates re-
ceived signal strength when signal is received.
