Touchless Configuration Unit Assembly with Battery
This section covers the replacement instructions for touchless configuration unit assembly with battery. The purpose of the
touchless configuration option is to allow customer to pre-configure the printer without taken the printer out of the box. The
touchless configuration unit contain a battery powered RFID chip that store the configuration information.
To configure the touchless configuration, an RFID reader is required. For example, an IF2 with standard RFID antenna or an
IP30 connecting to handheld computer.
When replacing the touchless configuration unit, the unit has to be re-programmed with an RFID reader to match the printer
configuration information.
