Connecting the bus
The two connections 'Link A' and 'Link B' are suitable for M12 plugs, 4-pin, D-coded, pin
assignment according to IEC61076-2-101:

The MultiControl is equipped with an integrated 2-port switch. This allows the MultiControl, e.g.
to be integrated in line structures of the bus wiring.
4 Observe the installation guidelines of the respective bus systems:
• PROFINET: PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI), http://www.profibus.com
• EtherCAT: EtherCAT Technology Group, http://www.ethercat.org
• EtherNet/IP: ODVA, http://www.odva.org
4 If a connection remains unused, seal it with an M12 blind cap to achieve protection rating
IP54.
