Pump/Engine Coupling
This is a flexible coupling A bolted to the engine flywheel
B. The centre splined portion of the coupling engages with
the pump unit drive shaft. The coupling is contained within
the flywheel housing C to which the pump unit is bolted.
To remove the coupling it is necessary to remove the pump
unit and flywheel housing.
The coupling is bolted to the engine flywheel with three cap
screws D.
Coat threads of cap screws D with JCB Threadlocker and
Sealer
K Sealing and Retaining Compounds ( T 1-29)
and torque tighten to 49 Nm (36 lbf ft, 5 kgf m).
