Interference Rejection Setting
•You can set the level to reduce interference from other vessels using
this item. The interference is the noise that is caused when waves
transmitted from the ultrasonic equipment such as a fish finder on a
nearby vessel are reflected from the seabed toward your vessel. Strong
echoes appear at regular intervals as shown in the following
illustration.
•Press the
up or down to select INTERFERENCE and push
it in to open the interference rejection setting pull-down menu. Press
the to the left or right to select a level to reduce interference.
Levels are OFF, IR1 and IR2. IR2 reduces interference more
effectively than IR1. When the interference rejection is activated,
weak echoes of fish will be eliminated. When there is no interference
from other vessels, be sure to select OFF. When IR1 or IR2 is selected,
“IRx” appears at the top of the screen.
STC Setting
•You can set the operating range of STC using this item.
•Press the
up or down to select STC and push it in to open
the STC setting pull-down menu. Press the to the left or
right to select an STC operating range. Ranges are SHORT, MID and
LONG.
Fish Symbol Display
•You can set this item so that the fish symbols appear or do not appear.
The fish symbols represent fish echoes and the water depth of schools
of fish is also displayed.
•Press the
up or down to select SYMBOLS and push it in to
open the fish SYMBOL setting pull-down menu. Press the
to the left or right to select ON or OFF. When ON is selected, echoes
other than the zero Line and seabed are displayed as symbols.
