Note:
A magnetic variation value set with AUTO is a rough value calculated
based on the current date and time, and the ship's current position.
You cannot set it with AUTO if the data of the current date & time
and the current ship's position is not stored.
When it is necessary to set a more precise value or when the
abovementioned data is not stored, set it with MANUAL.
Initialize GPS/DGPS Sensor
•Using this item, you can perform the initial settings when JRC’s GPS/
DGPS sensor GPS100 or DGPS200 is connected to the FF50. The
menu includes both basic settings and initial settings. The basic
settings reflect the general GPS/DGPS sensors and the initial settings
reflect the beacon module of the DGPS sensor. When connecting the
DGPS200, set it according to the instructions in “1. GPS/DGPS
Basic Settings” p.78 and “2. DGPS Beacon Settings” p.81. When
connecting the GPS100, set it according to the instructions in “1.
GPS/DGPS Basic Settings” p.78 only. These initial settings are valid
only for JRC’s GPS/DGPS sensors.
1. GPS/DGPS Basic Settings
•You can perform the basic settings to reflect the general GPS/DGPS
sensors using this item. After completing the settings for each item,
transmit the setting command using the TX COMMAND menu
described in “(10) Transmit Command to GPS/DGPS Sensor” p.81
to complete the initial setting of the GPS/DGPS sensors.
•Press the
up or down to select GPS SETTING>> and push
it in to switch to the GPS SETTING menu.
Note:
After changing the settings, transmit the setting command using the
TX COMMAND menu in “(10) Transmit Command to GPS/DGPS
Sensor” p.81. The settings are not reflected in the GPS/DGPS sensor
unless the setting command is transmitted.
(1) Estimated Position
•You can set your vessel’s current position using this item. It will take
about 20 minutes to complete the positioning through the GPS/
DGPS when you turn the power on for the first time or after you
perform the master reset. You can save time, however, by setting your
vessel’s position using this item and by setting (2) DATE/TIME to (4)
