Section 4 Operation

Edit Waypoint

•You can store, modify, copy and delete waypoints using this item.

•Press the up or down to select EDIT WPT and push it in to

open the WAYPOINT list. You can store up to 400 waypoints. The

list is composed of 40 pages, each page consists of 10 waypoints. Press

the up or down to move the waypoint selection frame up or

down. Press the to the left or right to change pages. When a

route plan is activated, you cannot select waypoints used in the

activated route plan. (An * appears to the left of the waypoint

numbers in use.)

• Always use the WAYPOINT list when you store, modify, copy and

delete waypoints.

Each procedure is described below.

Storing waypoints

Select an unused waypoint number and push the in to open

the WAYPOINT setting pull-down menu. Press the to the

left or right to move the setting frame for each letter and press the

up or down to name the waypoint. Then, press the

to the left or right to move the setting frame for bearing,

degree, minute, one-thousandth minute, respectively and press the

up or down to enter the latitude and longitude. Finally,

push the in to store the entered information of the

waypoint. Push before pushing the in to abort

storing.

Modifying waypoints

Select a waypoint number you want to modify and push the

to open the menu to select MODIFY, COPY or DELETE. Press the

up or down to select MODIFY and push it in to open the

WAYPOINT setting pull-down menu, the same as the menu for

storing waypoints. In the same way as in storing waypoints, move the

setting frame to the portion you want to modify. Finally, push the

in to complete the modification. Push before

pushing the in to abort modification.
