when High Beam Assist is oper

ating, High Beam Assist will
turn off and the high beam will
be on continuously. High Beam
Assist ( ) indicator will turn
off.
䳜 If the lever is pulled towards
you when the high beam is on
with operating High Beam
Assist, High Beam Assist will
turn off.
4. If the light switch is placed to the
headlamp position, High Beam
Assist will turn off and the low
beam will be on continuously.
The high beam switches to low
beam in the below conditions.
䳜 8hen High Beam Assist is off.
䳜 8hen the light switch is not in the
AUTO position.
䳜 8hen the headlamp is detected
from the on-coming vehicle.
䳜 8hen the tail lamp is detected
from the front vehicle.
䳜 8hen the surrounding is bright
enough high beams are not
needed.
䳜 8hen streetlights or other lights
are detected.
䳜 8hen vehicle speed is below
3km/h (22 mph).
䳜 8hen headlamp / taillamp of
bicycle/motorcycle is detected.
The function may not operate nor

mally in the below conditions.
䳜 8hen the light from the oncoming
or front vehicle is not detected
because of lamp damage, hidden
from sight, etc.
䳜 8hen the lamp of the on-coming
or front vehicle is covered with
dust, snow or water.
䳜 8hen the light from the oncoming
or front vehicle is not detected
because of exhaust fume, smoke,
fog, snow, etc.
䳜 8hen the front window is covered
with foreign matters such as ice,
dust, fog, or is damaged.
䳜 8hen there is a similar shape
lamp with the front vehicle䳓s
lamps.
䳜 8hen it is hard to see because of
fog, heavy rain or snow.
䳜 8hen the headlamp is not
repaired or replaced at an autho

rised dealer.
䳜 8hen headlamp aiming is not
properly adjusted.
䳜 8hen driving on a narrow curved
road or rough road.
