Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system
Unintentionally, when the engine is
turned off or the vehicle is moving,
if the gear is engaged and the clutch
pedal is not pressed, the system
displays the warning message as
shown above. At this time, if the
driver presses the clutch pedal all
the way, the engine restarts auto
-
matically.(Only with Late 3estart
equipped ISG system, except MHEV)
ISG malfunction
The system may not operate
when:
䳜 The ISG related sensors or func
-
tion error occurs.
The yellow AUTO STOP indicator
( ) on the instrument cluster will
stay on after blinking for seconds
and the light on the ISG OFF button
will illuminate.
䳜 If the ISG OFF button light is not
turned off by pressing the ISG
OFF button again or if the ISG
system continuously does not
work correctly, have your vehicle
inspected by a professional work
-
shop as soon as possible. Kia rec

ommends to contact an
authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.
䳜 8hen the ISG OFF button light
comes on, it may stop illuminating
after driving your vehicle at
approximately 80 km/h for a
maximum of two hours and set
-
ting the fan speed control knob
below the 2nd position. If the ISG
OFF button light continues to be
illuminated in spite of the proce
-
dure, have your vehicle inspected
by a professional workshop as
soon as possible. Kia recommends
to contact an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner.
If the AGM battery is reconnected
orreplaced, ISG system will not
operate immediately.
If you want to use the ISG system,
the battery sensor needs to be cali
-
brated for approximately 4 hours
with the ignition off and then, turn
the engine on and off 2 or 3 times.
