Driving your vehicle Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system
the clutch pedal has not been
pressed yet, the engine
restarts according to the LATE
3estart procedure.
1) Depress the clutch pedal
2) Engage the gear
3) 3elease the brake pedal only
䳜 Late restart function is only oper
-
ated when it is on a level ground
and the vehicle is stable.
䳜 To start the engine when the
brake is not pressed or the gear is
already engaged, for safety press
the brake pedal first and then
press the clutch pedal.
䳜 To turn on the engine without
vehicle movement with the brake
pedal pressed, (only with Late
3estart)
1. Press and release the clutch
pedal
2. Press the clutch pedal again
immediately
䳜 After the vehicle stalled, the
engine starts if you operate as
shown below (only with Late
3estart)
1. 3elease the clutch pedal, after
the engine completely stop
2. Depress the clutch pedal
䳜 After operating ISG STOP, if the
vehicle speed increases instead of
decreasing, the engine may
restart automatically.

decreasing, the engine may restart
automatically
Condition of ISG system operation
The ISG system will operate under
the following condition:
䳜 The driver䳓s seatbelt is fastened
䳜 The driver䳓s door and bonnetbon
-
net are closed
䳜 The brake vacuum pressure is
adequate
䳜 The battery sensor is activated
and the battery is sufficiently
charged
䳜 Outside temperature is not too
low or too high
䳜 The climate control system satis
-
fies the conditions
䳜 The vehicle is sufficiently warmed
up
䳜 The vehicle is not on a steep road
grade (Excluding : Manual Trans
-
mission)
䳜 The steering wheel is not at a
sharp angle
䳜 The vehicle is not at a high eleva
