Driving your vehicle Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW)
Collision warning
To warn the driver of an approach
-
ing vehicle from the rear left/right
side of your vehicle, the outside
rearview mirror will blink and a
warning will appear on the cluster.
At the same time, an audible warn
-
ing will sound and the steering
wheel will vibrate. If 3ear View Mon
-
itor is operating, a warning will also
appear on the infotainment screen.
The function will operate when the
following conditions are satisfied:
䳜 Your vehicle gear is shifted to 3
(3everse)
䳜 Your vehicle speed is below 8 km/
h ( mph)
䳜 The approaching vehicle is within
approximately 2 m (82 feet)
from the left and right side of
your vehicle
䳜 The speed of the vehicle
approaching from the left and
right is above km/h (3 mph)
If the operating conditions are satis
-
fied, there will be a warning when
-
ever the vehicle approaches from
the left or right side even though
your vehicle speed is 0 km/h (0
mph).
䳜 Take the following precautions
when using 3ear Cross-Traffic
Safety system:
䳜 For your safety, change the Set
-
tings after parking the vehicle at a
safe location.
䳜 If any other function䳓s warning
message is displayed or audible
warning is generated, 3ear Cross-
Traffic Safety system warning
message may not be displayed
and audible warning may not be
generated.
䳜 You may not hear the warning
sound of 3ear Cross-Traffic
Safety system if the surrounding
is noisy.
䳜 3ear Cross-Traffic Safety sys

may not warn the driver depend

ing on the road and driving condi

tions.
䳜 The driver should hold the
responsibility to control the vehi

cle. Do not solely depend on 3ear
Cross-Traffic Safety system.
