Emergency towing precautions
• TurntheignitionswitchtoACCso
thesteeringwheelisn’tlocked.
• Placethetransmissionshiftlever
inN(Neutral).
• Releasetheparkingbake.
• Thevehicleshouldbetowedata
speedof25km/h(16mph)orless
withinthedistanceof20km(12
miles).
• Pressthebrakepedalwithmore
forcethannormalsinceyouwill
havereducedbrakeperformance.
• Moresteeringeffortwillbe
requiredbecausethepower
steeringsystemwillbedisabled.
• Ifyouaredrivingdownalong
hill,thebrakesmayoverheat
andbrakeperformancewillbe
reduced.Stopoftenandletthe
brakescooloff.
