Place the (4) pennies on the edge of the light eld as shown in the picture below. Make sure
not to cover the cells used for AEC.

Replace the compression paddle and ensure that it is 4.2 cm above the breast support table.
Use the digital readout to ensure 4.2 cm.

Place the quarter up against the chest wall side of the compression paddle.

Place 2cm of acrylic on top of the paddle. Note the quarter and penny on the chest wall side
are o󰀨 center not to interfere with the AEC. The acrylic should extend past the chest wall to
ensure complete coverage.

Expose the cassettes using AEC and the most commonly used kVp.

Process the cassettes and print the resulting images. Make sure to print out at true size.
