2.8.1 Test Objective
To ensure the Xpress Digital Mammography System is fully operational and ready to process clinical images.
2.8.2 Frequency
• MONTHLY
2.8.3 Required Equipment
• Non woven, lint free cloth
• Anhydrous Alcohol

Mammography X-ray unit Evaluation

Follow the guidance given in the "Mammography Quality Control Manual" (ACR, 1999) Radio-
logic Technologist section procedure 11.

X-ray Control Area Evaluation

Ensure the following items:
– Patient viewing window is clean and unobstructed.
– All "power on" indicators are functioning.

CR Console

Ensure the following items:
– All lights, indicators are function property.
– The monitor of the REGIUS Console CS-3/CS-7 is free of smudges and ngerprints.

Imaging cassette and plate
1
Open each REGIUS cassette and inspect the surface of the imaging plate.
– The surface should be free of scratches, dust or other substances or damage.

Inspect the REGIUS cassette housing.
– No cracks should be present.
– Unlock mechanism should operate smoothly.
– No dust or other particulate matter should be present.
