2.2 Daily Operational Checks
2.2.1 Test Objective
To ensure the Xpress Digital Mammography System is operational and ready to process clinical images. These
checks are to be performed daily before patients exams have begun.
2.2.2 Frequency
• DAILY
2.2.3 Required Equipment
• All REGIUS cassettes in use
• Flat Panel approved monitor cleaner
• Non woven, lint free cloth
• Disinfectant (M SPRAY 2000 disinfectant or equivalent)
2.2.4 Procedure
Mammography X-ray unit Evaluation

Ensure the following items:
– Refer to daily user manual of the mammography X-ray unit.
X-ray and CR Control Area Evaluation
1
Ensure the following items:
– The monitor of the REGIUS Console CS-3/CS-7 is free of blemishes.
– REGIUS login screen is displayed and no errors are reported.
– No errors are displayed on the REGIUS Model 190/210/110HQ.
– Technique chart is in place.
– Exposure switch of the mammography X-ray unit is in place.
Imaging Cassettes and Plates

Place the REGIUS Model 190/210/110HQ into ERASE MODE 2.

Insert each cassette into the REGIUS Model 190/210/110HQ for erasure.

Following erasure, the REGIUS cassettes should be stored in a radiation shielded location to
prevent fogging of the imaging plate from scatter radiation.
