This test is sensitive to variations in beam quality (kVp, target and lter material). Use an AEC mode that varies only mAs,
and does not allow variations in kVp, target and lter material.

3.12.5 Performance Criteria and Corrective Action
Performance Criteria: Each measured S value should be within +/- 20% of the value calculated using the formula of
S=2400/x [mR].
Where S is the displayed S value of the image and x is the value of the average exposure value stated in mR.
Corrective Action: If the test fails, repeat the procedure with a di󰀨erent cassette and plate pair. If the new pair passes
the test, patient examination may continue without using the cassette and plate pair that does not meet the perfor-
mance criteria.
If problems persist, contact your service representative and ensure that the uniformity and sensitivity calibrations are
completed. If problems still persist, the REGIUS system will need to have service to address the issue.
The source of the problem shall be identied and corrective action shall be taken within 30 days of the test date. Pa-
tient examination may continue during this period.
3.12.6 Documentation
