3.18 Inter-Plate Consistency
3.18.1 Test Objective
To ensure that each imaging plate in use provides a uniform response to radiation under standardized conditions, by
checking their SNR consistency.
3.18.2 Frequency
• Initially at installation
• ANNUALLY
• Before introducing new REGIUS plates or cassettes
3.18.3 Required Equipment
• 2 mm thick Al plate
• Calibrated dose meter
• All REGIUS cassettes in use
3.18.4 Procedure (for CS-3)
Select a REGIUS cassette used for mammography. Erase the plate using ERASE MODE 2 on the REGIUS Model
190/210/110HQ.

Set the Al plate under X-Ray tube.

Place the detector of the dose meter on the breast support table.

Make an exposure with 28kVp in the standard mammography mode (Mo/Mo).

Repeat step 3 and adjust the mAs till the dose become greater than 100μGy.

Place the cassette on the breast support table.

Expose all of the facility installed cassettes with the rst mAs greater than 100μGy.

Process the cassettes in the REGIUS Model 190/210/110HQ. To identify the analysis target im-
age, take note of the shooting date and time.
