2 Precautions
2.1 Installation Precautions
Installation Site
Placement of the unit in the environment described below will ensure
optimal performance throughout the long life of service for which it was
designed.
1. A well-ventilated place.
2. An area which is free from ammonia or other organic gases.
3. A place which has easy access to a power outlet so that the unit may
be easily plugged in and unplugged.
4. Any area free from direct sunlight.
5. A place which is out of the direct air stream of an air conditioner, heater
or ventilator and is not subject to extremely high or low temperatures
or humidity.
6. A stable location with a flat surface that is not subject to undue
vibration.
7. A place that is free from any object that would block the heat exhaust
duct of the printer.
8. A place away from curtains or anything else that is easily flammable.
9. An area that is safe from spilled water or other liquids.
10. A dust-free location.
NOTE:
If the Scanner is to be located near a window, do not face the
Screen towards the window.
