• Watch for overhead wires. Never touch wires with any
part of the loader.
• Keep the working area as level as possible.
• NEVER allow anyone to work under a raised conveyor
or other attachment.
• ALWAYS lower conveyor and moldboard when
machine is not in use.
• Be sure that bystanders are clear of the loader before
lowering or moving conveyor and other attachment.
• Park loader on level ground or across the slope.
DO NOT smoke when performing
inspections or servicing unit.
Stopping Safety
• ALWAYS park the loader on solid, level ground. If this
is not possible, park the loader at a right angle to the
slope.
• ALWAYS lower the moldboard and conveyor when
leaving the machine unattended.
• ALWAYS engage parking brake when parking or
leaving the machine unattended.
• Use proper ags, barriers and warning devices,
especially when parking in areas of trafc.
Maintenance Safety
• NEVER work on the loader while the engine is running.
• NEVER refuel while the engine is running. DO NOT
smoke while lling the fuel tank or servicing the
machine.
• DO NOT change the engine governor settings.
• ALWAYS replace damaged or lost decals.
• Disconnect battery by using the the disconnect winch
when working on the electrical system or welding on
the unit.
• If charging battery with a charger, ensure battery
charger is off when making connections.
• Be sure to observe the correct battery polarity
when connecting a battery charger or jumper cable:
Negative (-) to negative (-) and positive (+) to positive
(+).
• Work slowly in tight areas.
• DO NOT run engine in a closed building for long
periods of time.
• Add coolant to the radiator only when the machine is
stopped or idling slowly. To avoid being scalded when
the pressure ller cap is being removed, turn the cap
slightly to relieve pressure before removing the cap.
• DO NOT leave the engine running while making
adjustments or repairs unless specically
recommended in this manual.
• NEVER allow anyone to work under a raised conveyor
or other attachments.
Never work under the conveyor
without placing safety pins in position. One pin must
be inserted into each conveyor support on each side
beneath the conveyor. When removing pins, be sure
to replace in the stored position above the cylinders.
