Conveyor Head Pulley Bearing
This procedure should only be
performed while the machine is not operating.
1. Check that machine is turned off and remove key
from the ignition.
2. Remove the two caps screws and associated
hardware on the bearing. (Figure 5-25)
3. Slide the bearing from the shaft and remove from
machine.
4. Clean mounting surface.
5. Slide new bearing onto shaft.
6. Reinstall front cap screw through bearing mount
and hole in frame.
7. Attach nut and washers to cap screw, but do not
tighten.
8. Reinstall rear cap screw through a washer, then
through the adjusting bolt and mounting hole in the
frame.
9. Reattach nut and washers to cap screw.
10. Torque both nuts to 375 ft-lb (508 N.m).
11. Lubricate bearing.

Conveyor Lift Cylinders
Before breaking circuit connections,
ensure power is OFF and the system pressure
has been released. Lower all vertical cylinders,
discharge any accumulators, and block any load that
could move and generate pressure.
NOTE: Plug and cap all lines and ports when
disconnected to prevent dirt from entering
the system.
1. Insert safety pins into conveyor support. (Page
4-4) Or use a hoist when replacing conveyor lift
cylinders.
2. Place a container under the cylinder to catch
hydraulic oil when the lines are disconnected.
(Figure 5-26)
3. Disconnect and label the two hoses connected to
cylinder ttings.
4. Remove the two clevis pins and clip pins attaching
the cylinder to the frame and conveyor.
5. Remove old cylinder from machine and replace with
new cylinder.
1. Reinstall the two clevis pins and clip pins to secure
the cylinder.
2. Connect the two hydraulic hoses.
3. Add hydraulic oil, if needed.
4. Start the engine and operate the cylinder to check
for leaks and for proper operation.
